Language Arts: Today you wrote your final journal. The prompt is as follows:
Imagine you are following Alice down the rabbit hole. Write about what your trip down the rabbit hole would be like. Use your imagination and be creative. Your journal must be at least ½ page.
The rest of class was spent viewing the beginning of Alice in Wonderland.
Enrichment: You spent class time working on your final project. The completed final project is to be finished by the end of class tomorrow. We will begin presenting on Friday, May 18. If you need to work on your project at home, but you left the choice board at school; you can download it from the attached file.
Language Arts: You worked with your group on the "Jabberwocky" mural. The finished murals were posted in the hall at the end of class today. Don't forget if you haven't returned your permission slip for the movie, I have to have it tomorrow, or you will be in another classroom doing work.

You worked with a group illustrating a stanza of "Jabberwocky". The illustration is due at the end of class tomorrow. We will put the illustrations together in the hall to create one large mural of the poem.

Enrichment: Today was a work day. You worked on finishing everything that you have been assigned to date: chapters 8 - 10 vocab and comprehension questions and chapters 11 & 12 and the afterword vocab.
Language Arts: You worked on finishing your "Generation Love" project. The opportunity was given for some extra credit today. Everyone was told they could earn 15 points extra credit by completing their own "Generation Love" poster. All of the "Generation Love" projects were due at the end of class today.
Enrichment: You worked on completing the vocabulary and comprehenskon questions for chapters 8 - 10. If you finished all of that, you could start working on the vocabulary for chapters 11 & 12 and the afterword. We will be finished with the book by Friday of this week, and you will receive the instructions for your final project on Monday, 5/14 with the project due on Thursday, 5/17 at the end of class. You will be given time during class to work on the project.
Language Arts: You completed day 2 of DGP 15. Then you were divided into pairs to work on a three part project that helps you see how your generation defines itself. Is that definitions good or bad? How do others see your generation? Posters will be due at the end of class tomorrow.
Enrichment: You read chapters 8 - 10 and worked on the comprehension questions for those chapters.
Language Arts: You started your final DGP for the year today. There will be a quiz on Friday. The following journal prompt started the last day of "Shark Week": Write a paragraph explaining 3 facts that you learned about sharks over the past week. The facts must be in your own words not copied from the shark facts. The rest of class time was spent finishing the shark packet and watching a video on sharks. The packet was due at the end of class today.
